Introduction
You do know a true prophet just because whatever he says comes to fulfillment. Jesus warned the world against miracles and prophecies saying,

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Matthew 7:21-23

In other words, the true prophets are not those who are always giving you accurate prophecies, just the type the world now runs after.

How To Know The True Prophets
The true prophets are known by the following facts:
  1. He hears from God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and not like so many ministers of today, who are using all kinds of demonic powers, without their church members knowing it.

  2. He teaches people the will of God, just as Jesus did, so that both himself and his followers shall inherit the kingdom of heaven.

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-20

  3. He keeps the laws, statutes and judgments of God, as Jesus did. While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. 47 Then one said to Him, "Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You."

But He answered and said to the one who told Him, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers ?" 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers ! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother." Matthew 12:46-50

  4. He lives as a saint, who performs all his duties as service offering to God Almighty, without expecting rewards, thanks, praises, force or persuasion.

  5. Refer to other qualities of a true saint, as explained by the man who saw God face to face.

False Prophets 2
The following are also false prophets:

1. Any minister, who is not sprinkling holy water on the congregations. Whatever the ministers does, must not be different from what God says.
2. Any minister, who allows the use of images and statues.
3. Any minister, who is not rebuking his members who are in secret cults, who uses charms, murder or afflict people.
